Ya gotta believe? Oh, the rotation is stacked? I think it’s missing 300lbs aka our definitive #2 starter from last year. Not to mention an affordable healthcare plan. The Jewpons won’t even spring for painkillers for Matz. We did get Yo. We bee-leeve in Yo. Yo is proven. The rotation has not proven to be more than competitive with potential for either greatness or decimation from injury.

I can see the Post headline now: Familia beats his familia. Har har. But can you blame him? After that wildcard game performance? I’m surprised he didn’t burn his house down with his whole familia inside. Maybe his wife dressed as Bumgarner for Halloween. Or that guy that hit the dinger. Colin whatever, maybe? I don’t remember his name and I’m not looking it up.
I went to the game and I have no recollection of it or if anything, really. You probably got wind of my selective amnesia as you agonized over when the next Metsblow would come out. I don’t know what’s happened this past month. I know I have $100 on the Injuns to win it all (which I put down as soon as the Mets lost). Oh, and I know the Mets have to pay Yo, but that’s it. It’s just been: Wake up…care just enough to live that I keep breathing and drinking water…try to go to sleep. It’s probably been worse for Familia. And his wife probably has the jimmy legs. Plus, this is all still rumors & gossip…and a police report.

Lots of crazy possibilities ahead. I think we’ll host Bumgarner. Soup’s gonna get the roster spot over Conforto. Rofflez. And it’s gonna be a tough game. Madbum isn’t gonna let Bochy take him out. We’d need to get to the GIants’ shitty pen. It comes down to Thor, really. It’s great that we won today to sabe Thor. If he can put up zeroes, we have a shot. I ain’t scared of Madbum. The ump today was horrendous. He really wanted to end the season. And that’s fine. He gave a wiiiiiide zone to both sides. Get Yo hot. Give him the day off tomorrow and let him take out today’s personal frustration on Madbum.

So…we’re a 2nd half team? Uhh, no. We got swept by the Braves at home last week. This is all because of the Giants/Cards collapses. They have been SUUUUUUCKING. Don’t celebrate too much. Don’t give Collins any credit. He lost so many games for us this year. It would’ve been nice if he yelled, “PAY YO!” into the camera as he was being showered with champagne. The Mets went to the ship last year. They’re not celebrating too hard. Enjoy it and enjoy the sweet day off tomorrow. Full strength home game coming up. Good to be in that position, I suppose. It could’ve been much worse.

The Giants have been collapsing since the break, but the difference between them and the ’07 (or ’08) Mets is that they’re the kind of franchise that hangs on. The Mets have made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons only once (’99-’00) in franchise history. That’s true dogshit.
